At Villa Mari, we set our goal very high: to produce absolutely the best red wines.  Our vineyard is located at the same latitude as the world’s finest grape producing regions in Italy.  With the positions of the sun the same, we simply needed to duplicate Italy’s warmer climate.

Our solution was to produce Villa Mari's wines from grapes grown under the shelter of arches with solar heat-capturing canopies.  

Expensive, yes, but with up to six weeks extra growing time, our grapes become wonderfully mature and complex.  And the wine?  Absolutely the best!
