The Process

While Villa Mari vineyards shares the same latitude as many great red wine producing areas, the climate was quite a different story.  Consequently, in order to be assured that maturation of the grapes was not affected by cool late spring and early fall temperatures, Villa Mari began to grow grapes under the protection of canopies.
